Motor vehicle accident west of Hull – July 9

On Tuesday, July 9, at 10:34 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 75 and Highway 18 (320th Street), two miles west of Hull, IA.

Walter Ibarra-Dominguez, of Sheldon, IA, was driving a 2001 Nissan Frontier northbound on Highway 75. Kenneth Boudreau, of Doon, IA, was driving a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica westbound on 320th Street. Boudreau entered the intersection to turn onto Highway 75 southbound and the two struck.

Both drivers reported minor injuries and declined medical transport from the Hull Ambulance.

Damage to the Nissan was estimated at $13,000; damage to the Chrysler was estimated at $18,000

Boudreau was cited for failure to yield right of way. Ibarra-Dominguez was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid drivers license. 

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Rock Valley Police Department, Hull Ambulance and Hull Fire Department.
