Suspicious vehicle report south of Sioux Center leads to several charges for juvenile – June 8

On Saturday, June 8, at 6:26 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a suspicious vehicle complaint parked at a public water works lot located at 3129 420th Street, one mile south of Sioux Center, IA.

Upon further investigation deputies discovered a juvenile that was operating the vehicle had an outstanding Sioux County arrest warrant for failure to appear, determined the juvenile’s driver’s license was suspended, possessed a fake identification card and was in possession of alcohol.

The juvenile was arrested for the warrant and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Cherokee, IA; additionally, citations were issued for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license suspended, possession of false identification card, possession of alcohol by a minor, consumption of alcohol by a minor and open container of alcohol in vehicle.
