Report of invasion of privacy at residence east of Sioux Center leads to arrest – May 15

On Wednesday, May 15, at 1:02 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Darrel Nyhof, age 58, of Sioux Center, IA.

The arrest stemmed from a report that Nyhof was recording an adult female in a state of undress through a window of a residence on 390th Street east of Sioux Center. Upon further investigation, Nyhof admitted attempting to photographing the victim while she was in her bathroom.

Nyhof was transported to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with invasion of privacy.

The incident remains under investigation.
