Report of stopped vehicle on traveled portion of Highway 60 south of Alton leads to arrest – January 16

On Tuesday, January 16, at 10:25 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cory Reiter, age 44, of Sioux City, IA.

The arrest stemmed from a report of a vehicle that was stopped in the northbound lane of Highway 60, one mile south of Alton, IA.

Officers located the stopped vehicle with Reiter inside; they suspected that Reiter was under the influence of a drug.

Reiter was transported to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (drugs).

The sheriff’s office Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and sheriff’s office drug K-9 assisted in the investigation.
