Business south of Orange City destroyed by fire – November 30

On Thursday, November 30, at 2:24 a.m., the Sioux County Communications Center received a 9-1-1 report of a fire that occurred at 4758 Ironwood Avenue, two and one-half miles south of Orange City, IA. The property that was on fire was a business operated as “The Triple Box,” which is a venue that hosts events.

The Orange City Fire Department, Alton Fire Department and Orange City Ambulance were dispatched to the location. Mutual Aid was requested from the Maurice Fire Department.

The structure was a total loss and damage is estimated to be over $1,000,000. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Orange City Fire Chief and the Iowa State Fire Marshal.
