On Saturday, November 25, at 5:16 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Chase Ranschau, age 22, of Hawarden, IA.
The arrest was the result of a search warrant executed at 1514 Avenue M in Hawarden following a report from Ranschau of an apparent opioid drug overdose of another person at the residence. Hawarden Police Officers administered nasal naloxone to person overdosing; the subject recovered and refused further medical attention.
Deputies discovered fentanyl, methamphetamine, cannabidiol and possession drug paraphernalia at the residence.
Ranschau was transported to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cannabidiol and possession of drug paraphernalia.
