On Friday, November 17, at 6:27 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Cherry Avenue, one mile east of Hawarden, IA.
Francisco Curiel, age 44, of Hawarden, IA was driving a 2011 Dodge Durango northbound on Cherry Ave and struck a cow on the roadway.
No injuries were reported.
Damage to the Dodge was estimated at $10,000.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hawarden Police Department.
Not sure if you want to add the value of the cow or where it came from, but the owner of the cow is Dry Creek Feeders and valued at $2,000.
