On Friday, November 3, at 5:28 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jose Hernandez-Ortiz, age 24, of Sioux Center, IA.
The arrest stemmed from a sex offender verification check. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Hernandez-Ortiz failed to report social media use as required by the terms of the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.
Hernandez-Ortiz was transported charged with Sex Offender Registry Violation and booked into the Sioux County Jail.
