Motor vehicle accident north of Hawarden – October 13

On Friday, October 13, at 10:02 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Cherry Avenue, two miles north of Hawarden, IA.

Lim Mabior, age 63, of Le Mars, IA was driving a 2009 Infinity QX56 southbound on Cherry Avenue when he swerved to avoid a deer on the roadway, lost control of the vehicle, entered the east ditch and rolled.

Maboir was transported by the Hawarden Ambulance to Hawarden Regional Health.

Damage to the Infinity was estimated at $10,000.

Maboir was cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
