On Wednesday, September 27, at 4:51 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jessica Fassett, age 32, and Kyle Fassett, age 41, both of Hawarden, IA.
The arrests stemmed from the execution of a search warrant executed at 2020 Avenue E, in Hawarden.
The investigation began the night before when Kyle Fassett allegedly threatened another Hawarden resident with a firearm.
The search warrant led to the discovery of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the residence on Avenue E.
Both were transported to the Sioux County Jail where Jessica was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and Kyle was charged with third offense possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Tri-County CERT Team and Hawarden Police Department assisted in the execution of the search warrant. The sheriff’s office was also assisted by the Sioux Center Police Department, who located and detained Fassett at his place of employment until deputies could take him into custody.
