On Friday, September 1, at 3:23 p.m, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred 410th Street, one mile east of Sioux Center, IA.
Andrea Suarez, age 22, of Alton, IA, was driving a 2012 Dodge Journey eastbound on 410th Street when a pheasant flew in front of her vehicle. Suarez swerved to avoid striking the bird, lost control of the vehicle, entered the north ditch and rolled.
No injuries were reported.
Damage to the Dodge was estimated at $9,000.
