On Monday, August 21, at 3:50 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a stolen 2006 Chrysler Town & Country minivan from Hull, IA.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that two female juveniles stole the Chrysler from a parking lot at Western Christian High School. The vehicle later found disabled and abandoned on 300th Street, two miles northwest of Hull. A passing motorist picked up the juveniles who were walking and brought them back to Hull. The juveniles then took two Yamaha golf carts without permission from residences and drove them around town.
Deputies located the juveniles in Hull by matching the description given by the person who gave them a ride along with video from the high school.
The Chrysler sustained approximately $1,500 of mechanical damage; no damage was reported for the golf carts.
The juveniles were cited into Juvenile Court for operating vehicles without the owner consent and burglary of a motor vehicle.
