On Friday, July 21, at 7:11 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Luci Mellema, age 32, of Boyden, IA.
The arrest stemmed from a report of a disturbance that occurred at a Boyden residence.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that Mellema assaulted a male victim at the residence.
Mellema was transported to the Sioux County Jail where she was charged with domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury.
