On Monday, June 19, at 5:29 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 18 and Okey Street in Hull, IA.
Jessica Lappegard, age 40, of Sioux Falls, SD, was driving a 2021 Honda Passport eastbound on Highway 18. Brian Timmerman age 37, of Ashton, IA was driving a 2004 Dodge Intrepid eastbound on Highway 18 following Lappegard. Lappegard slowed down to turn left onto Okey Street and Timmerman struck the Honda.
No injuries were reported.
The Honda sustained approximately $3,500 in damage; the Dodge sustained approximately $2,000 in damage.
Timmerman was cited for Following too Close.
