On Monday, June 12, at 5:06 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Angel Martinez, age 22, and Nathan Lee Hoiland, age 28, both of Rock Valley, IA.
The arrests stemmed from a traffic stop that occurred on Elmwood Avenue, four miles south of Rock Valley..
Upon further investigation, Deputies discovered Martinez’ driver’s license was suspended and Hoiland was in possession of marijuana.
Both were transported to the Sioux County Jail where Martinez was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and failure to provide proof of liability insurance. Hoiland was charged with third offense possession of marijuana.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Rock Valley Police Department.
