On Thursday, June 8, at 7:26 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Dipper Avenue, four miles southwest of Ireton, IA.
Mallie Sauer, age 25, of Ireton, was driving a 2023 Hyundai Tucson southbound on Dipper Avenue when she drove off the roadway, lost control of the vehicle, entered the east ditch and rolled.
Sauer was transported by the Ireton Ambulance to Hawarden Regional Healthcare for treatment of minor injuries.
The Hyundai sustained approximately $20,000 in damage.
Sauer was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Ireton Ambulance and Ireton Fire Department.
