On Sunday, April 9, at 5:56 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jennifer Cowell, age 36, Sioux Center, IA and Anthony Nicholson, age 22, of Ireton, IA.
The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop that occurred at the intersection of 2nd Avenue Northeast and 11th Street Northeast, in Sioux Center.
Upon further investigation, deputies suspected that Cowell was under in the influence and discovered illegal drugs in the vehicle.
Cowell was transported to the Sioux County Jail where she was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a drug and second offense possession of methamphetamine. Nicholson, the passenger in Cowell’s vehicle, was transported to the Sioux county Jail where he was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
