On Saturday, April 8, at 10:50 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Smit, age 64, of Rock Valley, IA.
The arrest stemmed from a deputy who went to Smit’s residence to serve an arrest warrant for failing to appear in Court. While Smit was being placed under arrest for the warrant, the deputy discovered illegal drugs in Smit’s possession.
Smit transported to the Sioux County Jail for the arrest warrant and charged with third offense possession of marijuana.
