Unauthorized entrance into train locomotive near Alton leads to arrest – March 30

On Thursday, March 30, at 8:15 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jacob Hulka, age 30, of Salem, OR.

The arrest stemmed from a report of trespassing that occurred inside a stopped Union Pacific Railroad locomotive north of a Alton, IA.

When officers arrived they located, Hulka was found inside the locomotive.

Hulka was transported to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with trespassing.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Orange City Police Department and Iowa State Patrol.
