On Thursday, March 9, at 5:23 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on 440TH Street, one-half mile East of Hawarden, IA.
Tatiana Rodriguez, age 22, of Hawarden, was driving a 2004 Dodge Stratus eastbound on 440TH Street when she drove onto the south shoulder, over-corrected to the left, lost control of the vehicle, entered the north ditch, struck an embankment and rolled.
Rodriguez was transported by the Hawarden Ambulance to Hawarden Regional Healthcare for treatment of minor injuries.
The Dodge sustained approximately $7,500 in damage.
Rodriguez was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Hawarden Police Department, Hawarden Ambulance and Hawarden Fire Department.
