On Wednesday, October 26, at 3:18 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ryan Betcke, age 58, of Granville, IA.
The arrest stemmed from an incident that occurred where Betcke called Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD and threated to shoot employees with an AK47 rifle. Due to the threats, Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls along with the Orange City Health were placed on lock down status until Betcke was arrested.
Betcke was transported to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with making terroristic threats, a class D felony.
