On Sunday, October 9, at 9:09 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 60, two miles northwest of Orange City, IA.
Corrin Sorensen, age 31, of Sheldon, IA, was driving a 2013 Mazda MZ3 northbound on Highway 60 when she struck a deer on the roadway.
Sorensen was transported by the Hospers Ambulance to Orange City Area Health for treatment of minor injuries.
The Mazda sustained approximately $8,000 in damage.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Hospers Ambulance and Orange City Police Department.
