On Saturday, January 29, at 7:51 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of 310th Street and Hickory Avenue, in Hull, IA.
Matthew Vanden Bosch, age 32, of Worthing, SD, was driving a 2014 Toyota Sienna westbound on 310th Street; he stopped for the stop sign at Hickory Avenue. Matthew Vande Hoef, age 46, of Hull, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Hickory Avenue. Vanden Bosch entered the intersection and the two struck.
A passenger in the Toyota reported minor injuries and sought medical attention on their own.
Damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $20,000. The Toyota sustained an estimated $10,000 in damage.
Vanden Bosch was cited for failing to yield from a stop sign.
The sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hull Fire Department and Hull Ambulance.
