On Friday, January 14, at 3:52 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on 360th Street, seven miles southwest of Rock Valley, IA.
Kerina Provost, age 19, of Sioux Falls, SD, was driving a 2005 Toyota Corolla Max eastbound on 360th Street when she reported a vehicle traveling westbound on 360th Street entered the eastbound lane; she swerved to avoid striking it, lost control of her vehicle and entered the south ditch. The other vehicle continued without stopping and was described as a tan vehicle with a male driver.
Provost was transported by the Rock Valley Ambulance to Hegg Health Center in Rock Valley for treatment of minor injuries.
The Toyota sustained approximately $3,000 in damage.
Provost was cited operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Rock Valley Fire Department and Rock Valley Ambulance.
