The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office has hired two reserve deputy sheriffs, Jordan Kerr and Alex Bakker.
Reserve Deputy Kerr also currently serves as a full-time police officer at the Rock Valley Police Department where he is also a K-9 handler. Kerr previously served as a police officer in Hartley, IA; he received a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal Justice from Southwest Minnesota State University and graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in 2012.
Reserve Deputy Bakker currently serves as a full-time police officer at the Sioux Center Police Department. Bakker received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA and graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in 2019.
