On Wednesday, May 5, at 2:10 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of 360th Street and Dipper Avenue, eight miles southwest of Rock Valley, IA.
Tyler Sandbulte, age 31, of Sioux Center, IA was driving a 2004 Ford F-250 westbound on 360th Street when he reported that he swerved to avoid striking a deer on the roadway. Sandbule lost control of the Ford, entered the north ditch and stuck a ditch embankment.
Sandbulte reported minor injuries and declined further medical treatment.
Damage to the Ford is estimated at $10,000.
Sandbulte was cited for failing to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
