Recently, Sergeant Justin De Bruin and K9 Sonny attended the 2021 United States Police Canine Association narcotic trials held in Fort Madison, IA.
The sheriff’s office canine team passed with a score of 197.67 out of a possible 200 points.
The test consisted of searching five cars and three rooms to locate a total of four narcotic odors; the odors used were, marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin.
