On Saturday, October 16, at 1:25 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Garfield Street and Maple Street, in Granville, IA.
Dalton De Haan, age 25, of Orange City, IA was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion eastbound on Garfield Street. Donald Binneboese, age 67, of Paullina, IA was driving a 2017 Ford Ranger eastbound on Garfield Street behind De Haan. De Haan attempted to make a U-turn in the intersection and the two struck.
No injuries were reported.
The Fusion sustained approximately $10,000 in damage. The Ranger sustained an estimated $6,000 in damage.
De Haan was cited for making an unsafe turn.
