On Thursday, July 9, at 3:33 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 75 and 320th Street, two miles west of Hull, IA.
Bronwen Dean, age 42, of Sioux Center, IA was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse westbound on 320th Street; he stopped for the stop sign for Highway 75. Wenda Horstman, age 63, of Sioux Center was driving a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup northbound on Highway 75. Dean entered the intersection and the two struck.
Horstman and a passenger were transported by the Hull Ambulance to Sioux Center Health System for treatment of their injuries.
The Chevrolet sustained approximately $7,500 in damage. The Ford sustained an estimated $9,000 in damage.
Dean was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Hull Ambulance and Hull Fire Department.
