On Wednesday, February 19, at 2:14 a.m., the Hull Fire Department responded to a report of a fire that occurred inside a residence at 703 2nd Street in Hull, IA.
Upon further investigation it was discovered that a fire occurred in a room in the second story of the house.
The fire was contained to the room, extinguished and all of the occupants were able to exit the house.
One of the residents was transported by the Hull Ambulance to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley for treatment of minor injuries sustained when they were evacuating the residence.
The residence sustained smoke damage and damage to the residence is estimated at $30,000.
The Hull Fire Department was assisted by the Hull Ambulance, Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, Rock Valley Fire Department, Rock Valley Police Department and Sioux Center Police Department.
