On Thursday, January 23, at 6:15 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at Highway 60 and Lily Avenue, two miles south of Hospers, IA
Mauricio Munoz-Luna, age 29, of South Sioux City, NE was driving a 2004 GMC Sierra southbound on Highway 60 when he lost control of the vehicle, entered the west ditch and rolled. The vehicle came to rest in a creek.
No injuries were reported.
The GMC sustained approximately $9,000 in damage.
Munoz-Luna was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Hospers Ambulance, Hospers Fire Department and the Orange City Police Department.
