On Monday, January 13, at 3:57 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 18 and Kingbird Avenue, one mile east of Boyden, IA.
Bonnie Boone, age 59, of Sheldon, IA was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger eastbound on Highway 18 when she lost control of the vehicle, entered the south ditch, crossed Kingbird Avenue, struck a stop sign and rolled.
Boone and a passenger were transported by the Boyden Ambulance to the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The Ford sustained approximately $10,000 in damage.
Boone was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
